Ok, so I know I suck a blogging. During wedding days, I see so many things through out the day that I make a mental note to blog about. Then once its time to sit down and blog about i'm stuck sitting at my computer, trying to write.
Shawna and Dan, holy carp! These two are awesome. Even when meeting up at 5am at the airport, The both of them are so easy going and always have a smile on their faces. Through out our week in Mexico together, They both seemed so relaxed and ready to get married. It was a great time getting to know their family and friends who also joined them in Mexico. By the end it seemed like we knew every one of their family and friends for years!
The Grand Bahia Principle was the most beautiful resort and the best place to get married. They had everything worked out perfectly, and the day just flowed by perfectly. (exactly how you hope a destination wedding would go). Shawna and Dan we married down by the beach in a beautiful and private location. The weather was beautiful for the day, the sky was filled with storm clouds but there was an ever so light sprinkle while we did family photos, it was truly a perfect day.
I have to say that this has been the most exciting wedding I have photographed, and not just because it was a destination wedding. It was awesome to be apart of the wedding, but what I loved the most was getting to spend time with everyone the days before and after the wedding. It was less of a production for the day, more of a party though out. It was non-stop fun and relaxing. I loved that I got a chance to take some photos before the wedding of everyone, and as you will soon see, the fact that we got to go out and take photos the next day, but I will get into that in a whole other blog.
I love that every wedding has its own traditions, but Shawna and Dan had the best, by far... Apparently with Dan's group of friends, it is tradition for the guys to strip down and give the bride a show... I think this was the funniest part of the night. Step aside garter toss, this is by far better. Fingers crossed this becomes a thing at more weddings.
My Job is seriously the coolest job in the world. I not only get to meet amazing and wonderful people who become great friends, but I also get to constantly wake up and do what I love, I am excited over how different each wedding is and how I get to be creative, and tell each couples story through images.
Congrats Dan and Shawna, thank you so much for all you have done for Ramsey and I and I can't wait to see where life and love bring you!
