Where do I even start with Matt and Amanda's amazing wedding? I knew a few things when Matt proposed to Amanda with a Flash mob dance perfectly choreographed (To see their video click here). A) This guy loves Amanda a million times 2! B) Amanda must truly be an amazing girl. C) Their wedding would be an epic event. Well I was right about it all.
Watch Both Matt and Amanda get ready for their ceremony was the most perfect and love filled morning full of laughs and emotions and love. I even got butterflies and teared up, which doesn't happen to me a lot. To watch the both of them counting down the minutes and having a couple quiet minutes while they opened up each others gets were amazing.
The Ceremony was so personal and written perfectly, and preformed by Amanda's Grandpa. I was the happiest most love filled ceremony, surrounded by friends and close family. I loved that they had a hand washing ceremony, to represent going into their marriage clean, forgiven and whole. I think that all weddings should have these!
The rest of the day was truly epic, Matt and Amanda gave us tons of time for photos, so we are able to capture tons of photos of them hanging out and having fun. Plus we were so lucky to be able to go into the Barrel room at Cedar Creek Winery and take a few images, which are some of my favourite, afterwards we were able to capture some great moments and times with them and their wedding party.
My favourite part is when I get to take photos of just the bride and groom, we send the wedding party off to continue drinking and we take a few quiet moments together, the whole day I kept catching glimpses of Amanda rubbing Matt's arm or sneaking a kiss or two in. You could see that even through all the stress and busyness of the day, they were both just enjoying the day that they got to marry their best friend. I see weddings where the couples forget to enjoy the day or enjoy the fact that they married their perfect half. But not once did I have to remind Matt or Amanda to slow down and Enjoy their day.
The reception was at the most beautiful Laurel Packing house in Kelowna, it was the perfect elegant and classy venue to hold the evening festivities, The night was filled with laughs, tears and heart felt speeches. Listening to all the words of love, really showed that both Matt and Amanda are truly wonderful and genuine people. The love that they share is one of those 1 in 100 kinds of love. It was truly honouring to be apart of their wedding, to get to share the same memories and laughs with them is the best part of my job.
Matt and Amanda, I consider it pure luck that I met you. You both think of others before yourselves, and are not afraid to show your love for one another. I think that I heard people pleading for you to have babies more than any other wedding, but I know that everyone sees how wonderful you are together and how perfect you love is and I know this world needs more Matt's and Amanda's in it. Thank you For making Ramsey, Ben and I feel so accepted and loved on your amazing day. Best wishes and all the love to you both in the future.
